He wanted to propose, he wanted to leave her never.
He wanted a romantic proposal, kinda do one better.
Single father, single lady, the joining as one.
She was everything he could ask for, and always so nice to his son.
Candle lit dinner, bottle of red and a toast.
He knew she was special, absolutely the most.
Beautiful and caring, perfect lover and friend.
He wanted to propose, forever to the end.
Dessert served on a tray, a fortune cookie and a kiss.
As she opened and read her fortune, it went like this.
Please join us forever, as a mother and a wife.
Let’s all do this together, share in this journey called life.
Many years later, still together and true. Stephanie Murphy, this was my proposal to you.

A Walk Alone

A walk all alone, it’s time for reflection.
Subtle shades of blue, looking for direction.
Ocean’s breeze, clouds abstract in array.
A walk all alone, with so much to say.
Grateful for life, love the life I live.
To me it’s about life’s karma, one gets what they give.
Sunrise greeted with a smile, power of the mind.
Soul search on the oceans edge, looking to find.
Peace within, talk to my loved ones who are gone.
So much to say, I’ll be here from dusk til dawn.
Pictures in the sky, looking for my spiritual way.
Love life, it will love you back, remember each day.
A blessing to be alive, just the freedom to live.

Some see the beauty, some feel the pain. Buried emotions, red shaded rain.
Suppression of feeling, feeling of alone.
Is the struggle worth it, turned to stone.
Water in it’s fall, another’s reason to cry.
Addiction doesn’t discriminate, I question why.
Not selfish or greedy, it’s lost and confused.
The untold stories, the days abused.
Mentally or physical, other’s rarely ever know.
If you know a friend with depression, reach out and show.
A little sign of love, a little sign of hope.
Stuck at the water falls bottom, some can’t cope.
Chemical imbalance, isolated in a crowd.
Never judge a book by its cover, sometimes silence is loud.

A good morning letter, this one is to my wife.
Just a simple thank you, I love our life.
I love your smile, your energy, your look.
My best friend, my lover, we write the book.
Book of love, honesty and true.
The best part of being open, is always dating you.

I took a minute, a minute to reflect on life.
A heart that keeps on giving, a beautiful lovely wife.
Some people wonder, how is it we live.
It’s based off of trust and honesty, being able to give.
Happiness to another, not a possession to control.
And no it’s not about numbers, rather a connection at the soul.
It’s not for everyone, I’m actually to burnt to lie.
I’d rather keep it open honest and real, cause I am that guy.
Live with a smile, they are actually contagious.
Some openly embrace, others think it’s outrageous.
I am always happy, can always see the brighter side.
It’s something about honesty, no worries if they lied.
Balance and respect, communication is the key.
I took a minute to reflect, sitting by the sea.
Times have changed, always be excepting of another.
love the life you live, and love thy brother.
Gay straight or bi, everyone has the right to live.
